How to Operate Jaw Crushers?

Jaw crusher is used for primary crushing applications. Aggregates are crushed by the movement of eccentric shaft which ultimately moves the jaws. Electric motor drives the belt through which jaw crusher moves. Crushers are also operated by diesel engines. Crushers have wide area of applications in the mining industries. The steps of operating a jaw crusher are as follows:

1. First of all check the machine is running fine then start feeding.
2. Always feed the material evenly. Uneven feeding may cause blockage.
3. Machine should be stopped first before stopping the feeder.
4. If all materials are discharged then you may stop electric motor.
5. If it feels like blockage inside the feeder then immediately stop the motor.
6. If one side of both jaw plates is packed then use the other side.
7. Before starting the operations, make sure that all parts are tightened.
