Types of Plastic Polymers

PP – Polypropylene has been widely used for many household and kitchen products. It is mainly applied in kitchen industry products to make several types of utensils.

PET – Polyethylene terephthalate is mostly utilized to make containers for liquid and food such as water, juices, soft drinks and other household products.

PS – Polystyrene is also a plastic polymer but it is not used on a large scale as it has a very few number of just industrial applications. Containers for fragile products and egg cartons are the most common applications of it. PS is also used to make stiff and temperature free packaging for water and other drinks.

LDPE – Low density polyethylene, the granular shaped plastic is widely used for making packaging products like containers for various things. It is a regular raw material for making food bags and bottles, trays, squeezable bottles etc. Textile and paper industry also seek its application for packaging purposes.

These plastics are a regular demand in the industry for manufacturing almost every kind of goods. Bottles, containers, car parts, tubs, packaging and even many more items are produced using these kinds of plastics. Now plastic industry has adopted the trend to recycle the waste plastic goods like bottles and then recycle them with PET bottle baler to obtain the desired material that can be used for manufacturing purpose of other products.
